Well, after a hiatus out of the pool, with a busy household settling in to everything in Australia, I need to get back to prioritising my physical and mental wellbeing.
I get a sense that O7 is a possible starter in 2026(Tsugaru), but we’ll take it one day at a time.
First, I’d like to pursue a few swimming goals outside and away from the hypnotic pull of Oceans 7.
New Zealand has its very own Triple Crown. Made up of Cook Strait, Foveaux Strait and Lake Taupo. A nice little side project!
So, we’re headed to Taupo to swim it’s 40km length in December! Exciting! More soon!
I read the Channeling a Cause post about Taupo in December 2025, and it was great to see how the event is shaping up in New Zealand with plans for shared activities, community connection, and a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who attends.
